Vision

St Mary’s is a church seeking to know God and to show God’s love to others. Everyone is welcome at St Mary’s. Whether you have big questions, are exploring the Christian faith, are new to faith or have been a follower of Jesus for a long time, St Mary’s doors are wide open to you.

We are the local Church of England Parish Church, located in the communities of Hollywood and Wythall. We are placed at the heart of the community with our building being on the site of The Coppice Primary School. We love the communities of Hollywood and Wythall and our activities during the week are driven by our desire to serve people, to show God’s love in practical ways and to take every opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those we meet.

We gather on Sunday mornings to worship God together. Our services tend to be more informal than formal. We believe God’s Word to us in the Bible is living and active today. We love being together, enjoying fellowship together and welcoming in everyone who comes along.

Meet the team


Vicar: Rev Amanda Featherstone I have had the privilege of being vicar of St Mary's since June 2019, it really is a fantastic church. I did my theological training at Ridley Hall, Cambridge. I was ordained in 2011 and have served throughout this time in Birmingham Diocese. I love cycling so you might see me on my bike around and about. I love people and hope to meet you at some point. Contact Rev Manda	Curate: Rev Marcus Pagnam I joined St Mary’s as an ordinand in 2020 and was delighted to be able to remain for my curacy in 2022. I love seeing the church gathered in praise and prayer, fuelling up to go and share the love of Jesus with the local community. On days off I can occasionally be found playing in my Beatle tribute band. (I am George!) Contact Rev Marcus	Children, Families & Schools Worker: Gary Daniel I am passionate about seeing children & their families know how much Jesus loves them & what a difference God can make in their lives. I joined St Mary’s staff team in 2022 with many years experience ministering in schools, churches, parks, buses, barges & village halls (to name but a few!). On days off, I like to both relax & have fun with my wife & 2 children, visiting National Trust properties & playing board games. Contact Gary

Administrator: Nicola Clarkson I joined St. Mary's as the administrator in March 2022. I love this role as each week is completely different! On my days off you can often find me next to some airfield with my husband and boys as they watch the planes, or chilling out watching films.	Church Warden: Ali Spencer I have been worshipping at St Mary’s for more than 30 years and love my church family. I have the pleasure of serving them as Church Warden at present and I am really enjoying the way that God teaches me new things every day. On fine days I love to go out for adventures with my husband on his motorbike.	Treasurer: Pam Miller

Mission Partners

St Mary’s has a number of mission partners, based both locally and overseas. We offer support through prayer, promoting their work and financially, giving 10% of the church’s income away to our partners and other causes and emergencies as they arise.
